Horrible Moving Experience

I would rate this company 0 stars if given the option. I had numerous issues with them throughout the entire move process:

1. The day before the move, my rep told me a different crew had been assigned to my move. I expressed concern about their packing experience, and she assured me they would do a great job.

2. I packed 70% of my belongings. Although there was only 30% of packing that needed to be done and I was paying for a pack and move by the hour, the crew kept complaining there was too much stuff and it was taking too long.

3. They left items scattered throughout my apartment. I had to repeatedly ask them to also pack those items.

4. I told the crew leader that I wanted to buy lunch for them. I mentioned pizza because I wasn't familiar with other options near my new home. He rudely said they didn't want pizza and asked for Chik Fil A. I provided it for them and barely received a thank you.

5. I was managing the move alone, so there were some things I didn't see until after they left and I started unpacking. Specifically, they randomly threw my belongings, including fragile and breakable items, in boxes. They didn't label boxes by room and put many of them in the wrong rooms in my new home. They also stacked boxes almost to the ceiling in my son's bedroom. All of this made unpacking a nightmare and resulted in me injuring my back.

6. I contacted my rep the next business day. I expressed dissatisfaction and pointed out they charged me for the time the crew was eating the lunch I provided for them. She said they would refund the cost of that time and she would ask their operations manager to contact me regarding the other issues. He didn't call me until the end of that week and was very rude. He kept saying this was one of their best crews, he had never reveived complaints about them, etc and inferred that I was lying. He asked what I wanted, and I told him I thought a $500 credit was warranted. His response was really nasty. He eventually said he would have to discuss it with the owners, who wouldn't be back for a few days. He offered to send someone to my home to move the boxes around as needed. A mover contacted me the next day (Saturday) and let me know that he was busy with other jobs and wouldn't be able to make it to my house until at least 7pm or 8pm. I had plans that night and asked him to have his office contact me to reschedule. I didn't hear from anyone and received voicemail every time I called their office. The next Saturday I sent an email detailing the issues and their failure to follow up. A different person contacted me that day and again offered to have someone come over. The person came a few days later, but by that time almost 2 weeks had gone by, and I had already unpacked or moved most of the boxes myself. No one followed up with me about the credit, so I reached out again. The operations manager emailed me and said they would refund $400 to my credit card. I agreed to that; however, the amount refunded was $150. I contacted him again, and he said they were refunding a total of $400 - the credit for the lunch time I shouldn't have been billed and $150 for the service issues. I told him I didn't agree to that and reminded him that he offered $400 in writing with no mention of it being a cumulative amount. He said he told me that during our first call. I reminded him I had refused his initial offer and clearly asked in our email exchange if he was submitting a $400 refund that day. He stated in writing that he would do so. I told him it was unacceptable that he didn't honor the agreed upon amount and the matter wasn't resolved. It has been over a week, and he still hasn't replied to that email.

In summary, this is the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. Their moving services and customer service are horrible, and they are very rude and dishonest. I don't understand how or why they have good reviews, as my experience was terrible. I would avoid them and consider the other hundreds of companies in this area. I wish I had.
